Jacob Foko

Jacob Foko is an award-winning photojournalist, experienced photojournalist and passionate humanitarian.
He is a visual and multimedia producer and documentary filmmaker graduated from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California with a Bachelor Degree in Visual Journalism and a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He served as keynote speaker at both graduations and received simultaneously an Outstanding Achievement Award and an Advance Achievement Award. In 2009, the Career College Association (CCA), now called the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU), presented Jacob with their GREAT Award for excellence, achievement and talent at the Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.
Jacob has established a non-profit organization and a production company: Global Humanitarian Photojournalists, Inc. (GHPJ) (2007), and Blue World Productions (2011) Through his work, he continues his lifelong mission to raise awareness and develop resources that address social injustice. Highly involved in the operation and management of GHPJ and Blue World, Jacob also undertakes Pro Bono projects for non-profit partners such, the Taproot Foundation in Washington D.C., and La Fondation des Urgences d’Afrique in Paris.
